I did feel sorry for the guy there with his buddy shooting his new Sig I peppered him with my first couple brass. Still no fails to this date, the more I shoot it the more I love it.

Greetings all. Been lurking for a couple months. Nice folks here with good information.

I ordered an STG 556 today along with extra mags, brass buster & Raptor charging handle. Now about that rigger pull...I've read all the posts on various modifications. Has anyone gotten it down to 3 or 4 pounds? If so how so? If not, what combination of add ons & mods has lowered it the most? Amour all, plus Trigger Tamer, plus Neu Trigger?

Which optics rail hugs the receiver the closest?

Thanks

I am a very new member of this forum, that has just purchased a new msar stg-556.
I would like to share my story.
Last week i went to my local gun shop and seen and held my first stg-556, it looked very intresting to me but know one at the shop could answer a lot of my questions that i had about the weapon.

So i went on the web and contact the factory in nc. After a few calls and a few left messages with the sales departtment, with no return calls, i then called the offices in pa., this is when i started to speak with paul thomas, these calls went on a few times during that day.
Paul was very very helpful with me, and was the big factor in making up my mind, that maybe i should aquire one.

But it still "bug me" that no one had returned my calls from the main nc. Factory. I then called back and spoke to "heather" who was also was helpful she told me that she would have the ceo "tony" return my call.

About 7:00pm i received a call from tony we had a very nice chat.
I told him that i was going to buy the weapon "thanks to paul
thomas". But i was going to sent it to paul to check out the extractor, it seems they had an update. Tony said he would back paul thomas 100%.

Next day i bought my weapon and shipped it to paul after obtaining an "r/a #, this was on the 26th of aug. Confirm with paul on monday that it had been received. Weapon was back to me last night the 2 sept. It had been updated and test fired!!!!!!!!!!
Just receive a call this am from paul seeing if i had received my weapon back!!
In my book this is outstanding "customer service"!!.

I understand that a few owners have not been very happy with the customer service. But let's hope that the factory is trying to change for the better. With people like paul, heather and tony that seems to really want to help out the customer.

I think that all would agree that this weapon seems to be a very well design and built and is a dream to shoot by most of the forum posts!

I am over 70 years old and have had a few dealing with weapons
manufactures in my day. But i have never had any thing like this kind of service.
Again my many thanks go out to mr. Paul thomas for all of his help.
Sorry it's a long post.

I'm seriously considering acquiring one of these weapons, but, don't seem to find many accuracy tests on them.

Anyone have any results they would like to post?? Primarily interested in 100, 200 and 300 yard results.

Also the barrel length used? Seems I have seen in print several times that the 18.5" is the most accurate ?? I lean toward the 20" as I think it would provide the highest velocity (realize individual barrels may not follow that thinking).

Just putting this up to gauge interest, considering selling it:

My MSAR E4, OD Green, 18.5" barrel with .223 wylde chamber and Troy Claymore brake. Takes regular AR mags. Would come with (2) 10/30 fixed PMAGs. Very accurate, MSAR says is the most accurate barrel length (even more so than the 20"), shoots sub MOA groups @100. I have put approximately 275 rounds through the rifle, has broken in nicely. Would like to sell for $1500. IM or email if interested and I can get you more info.
